Overture Cary is a lovely place to live. We have many opportunities for socialization, from get togethers, Mix and Mingle Wednesdays, games, and many other activities. There are many resident led get togethers as well as activities for all to enjoy. Overall, a great place to live!

I enjoy living in this clean, safe, and welcoming community. I truly enjoy the atmosphere of building friendships and trust with the other residents. I am concerned with the amount of recent turnover with the staff of people that the residents really liked and trusted. Hopefully we'll get great people to fill those vacancies that will be here for a while and will be as good with Seniors as they were.

For folks over 55 this is a great place to live. Lots to do if you want or not. Mix and mingle on Wednesday evening is a great way to meet new people if you wish to do that.

Overture Cary is an awesome place to live. The property is clean and beautiful. There are sidewalks to everywhere and most importantly to Wegmans. The Cary Greenway is attached so there lots of places to walk. I am most impressed with the staff. Nate, Nancy, Lauren, Shane and Alex are very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. My apartment is equipped with the latest appliances, a upscale shower, walk in closets, a full size washer and dyer.
We have been at Overture for under 2 years. We have been very happy with staff, and residents. It is a very active group. Recently we did have a change in staff personnel. The site manager, Nate, and the activities manager, Lauren, have both been excellent additions. They have quickly integrated with Overture Cary residents, and are actively interacting with residents, and implementing new thoughts and ideas. High marks for our Overture staff.
This has been a great experience. We arrived when Overture opened almost 4 years ago and we're still enjoying the people and the facility. A lot or as little you want to be involved with, the choice is yours!
Maintenance is fantastic when you have a problem they come right up to help you. The facility is clean and activities are fun. I’m enjoying myself very much.

For the last three days the trash collectors have been placing the empty trash can directly in front of the door. This an emergency exit door and if there were an immediate need to exit our apartments a possible accident waiting to happen. As a former president of a company, I am sure it is a violation of OSHA standards. Please speak to them and stop this from happening.

The staff goes the extra mile to enhance our experience. - for example giving us a fun solar eclipse viewing experience , a lovely Mother’s Day luncheon and Father’s Day activity, a fashion show, entertainment, and guest speakers.

A variety of activities and lots of opportunities for interaction with others. At times I just want to sit alone and read. That’s ok, too. The Christmas dinner was awesome. Then I also enjoyed the pot luck with others staying here on Christmas Day.

My husband and I have resided at Overture Cary since it open two years ago. We have really enjoyed this experience. Since it's age restricted we have found many folks with common interests. There are plenty of activities available or you could do nothing but sit in the main area and find folks to chat with. The choice is yours. The staff is top notch and available with an answer for any question you might have. Also, Wegmans supermarket is a short walk away as well as other shops. We highly recommend this facility.

The actual facility is in excellent condition and is maintained very well. There is a variety of activities- very nice gym equipment! Staff are all pleasant and very involved.
Overall, I am pleased to live here; have friends; enjoy the amenities and the service. Things I would like are a garbage can in the back near my entrance. And I hope there are no more dog rules about where dogs can and cannot go. The staff are great; Barry has a wonderful sense of humor and Cindy is fabulous with ideas. I know we will all miss Stephanie who was a great help. The maintenance staff of Shane and Justin are also great, willing to help.

This place has been a lifesaver for me. After losing my husband a year ago and move them here with all the activities and friends that I have made along with the staff it has been great. Having seen the evolvement of Overture Cary over 24 months, it is a remarkable building.
Residents are friendly and courteous. There are activities including many exercise classes, card and board games, weekly gatherings of the residents, and occassional entertainment.
Management and staff are busy keeping activities planned and ongoing and are visible and available.
Most important is the safety residents feel while in the building, the convenience of nearby grocery stores and restaurants, and of course, and I repeat, the friendly atmosphere within the building by the residents.
there are things that seem so break often, repair is okay but sometime slow. worst part for me is finding pet stains on carpets and have seen residents allow their pet to urinate on the actual elevator and leave it. it does get cleaned up, and while I like pets, having in an apartment place like this does not work well.

They work to insure the residents are provided activities (exercise classes), arts and crafts, games, and other activities in which the residents can be involved if they so wish.

I have found that the staff is accommodating to a large extent and people here are friendly. We tend to stick together to weather any storms that may arise.

I truly enjoy my residence here. I enjoy the opportunity to engage with the other residents. The opportunity to meet up with the other residents at the Saturday breakfasts and the meet and mingles on Wednesday afternoon is great.
Overture Cary is in a great location, and the apartments are very nice, however, there is a problem with communication. For example, I received an email letting me know that maintenance guys would be by on Tuesday, September 24 sometime after ten in the morning, however, they didn't show up until Friday, the 27th. In the past, when I've received an email about regular maintenance to be performed on a particular day, it didn't happen on that day, but on a day when it was not expected, which has been an irritating inconvenience.
Short on staff to keep things running smoothly, the current staff are great just over worked! And now we have lost another one. Need to bring in qualified staff full time to meet our needs. This includes maintenance staff.

Design of the facility is excellent. The staff is motivated to be helpful. The location by the ponds is peaceful. I do get a sense that corporate has decided to decrease the number of staff, which causes repairs not to be made to the property.
Love it here. Made lots of friends and really enjoyed my time here. The only negative thing I have to say is the parking and that’s it. I have renewed my Least today and hopefully I’ll be here for a long time. The maintenance guys are really good.

I’m confused about whether dogs are actually welcome here. It seems that management sides with those who complain about dogs. It would be nice if they said that barking is talking. And therefore to be expected at times. For those who are afraid of dogs—why did they choose a dog friendly place. It makes me think this is not the place for me
Have enjoyed making wonderful friends, dining in fun restaurants, attending and planning musical and theatrical events in surrounding cities, playing golf with residents, and enjoying all of the Overture and Resident sponsored events.
Comfortable living conditions and congenial residents. Have recommended to others in search of new residence. Hallways and elevators kept clean. Moving company personnel need to cautioned about smoking in elevators.
While I’m not a particularly social person’ I do enjoy some of the gatherings at our building. Sometimes a bit too loud. A few times quite crowded. The staff here ate all amazing. Helpful, friendly, always willing to help in whatever way they can.
All in all a very nice community experience. The so-called ambassadors leave a lot to be desired. I feel the ambassadors need to be rotated periodically during the year. Most are rude and talk down to people. This is the reason I don’t participate in most wvents.
Great place to live, convenient to grocery stores and various community services as well as Raleigh Durham International Airport and Interstate 40. Management is very receptive and can accommodate within ownership guidelines.
Time for some interior painting in public areas to take care of normal wear and tear and outside window pressure washing. My wife and I have lived in our apartment since July 2021 (building opened in April 2021 and our bedroom carpet is showing wear. Better quality carpeting would be greatly appreciated.

I was going to rate Overture Cary 5 stars, but there are a few things thay need to be rectified. First is satellite/cable system needs to be changed to a more modern system and one with less outages. I cannot understand how Overture Cary granted a 7 or 10 year exclusive contract to Whiteside with no other alternative. It begs the question how & who.
My nect peeve is the dog policy or shoiuld I say the lack of one. Sometimes I feel like I live in the south's most expensive kennel.
I am pretty sure nothing will be done about the above because every time I am asked to do a review like this nothing comes of it. It just gives me something else toget off my chest.
Love it here. People r very friendly and the staff is great. Activities r great. Amenities are good. And the only bad thing I found is the parking is not so good but I can live with that.

Elevator problems have persisted—specifically Elevator #2 which directly affects me! I’ve been without that elevator for >2months. I’m paying full rent without full benefits! Also, and probably more important, the Emergency buttons have consistently proved unresponsive on most floors! Buttons are pressed and recording goes non-stop: “Help is on the way!” NOT. It causing me to consider leaving Overture—and I love it here. BUT, SAFETY is NECESSARY
Overture continues to be a convenient and good location. Construction on a 230 apartment complex next door (The Ashby) is nearly complete and maintenance at Overture remains satisfactory. Hall carpets could use a cleaning or refresh and you'll want an industrial toilet bowl plunger to deal with frequent clogs.
However with Wegmans, Food Lion and a Wal-Mart neighborhood market as well as several restaurants within waling distance and convenience to Interstate 40 and Raleigh'Durham International Airport you'd be hard pressed to find a better location.
So far after 6days going good. Love the location. Having carts to help moving in is great. Makes it real easy. Parking is an issue. I wish they had assigned parking slots.
Mostly good, but I don't like all the dogs allowed, and also don't like the staff don't enforce residents to follow the rules on pets. i've seen animals pee in the building and the owner is still allowed to keep them and are not made to clean it up and i guess don't pay for damages. also, dogs around food areas is not good. They also do not follow sound guidelines and are a nuisance to other neighbors without pets.
All positive comments! A resident for 3 years; any concerns or problem have been addressed or followed-up. I to be able to continue residing here ay Overture Cary.
The friendliness of the staff. The shopping area is close by. I wish that it was more field trips. Maybe more activities instead of the same things every week.
Overall we are quite happy with our new apartment community. We are however, disappointed that in a
55 and over community that the toilet seats are not higher and more importantly that none of the doors within the building have push button opening capabilities.
I was surprised and disappointed with the cable TV system. I’ve been spoiled with Xfinity. Other than this, everything is excellent. The staff is warmly, professional, and care about their service. The facility is clean and gives many opportunities for positive interactions.
Im.an animal lover but I've been noticing more and more people allowing their pets to pee and poop inside the building. Its gross and makes the building smell, not to me mention when people may step in in and drag it to other places. I wish something to be done with the animals and enforce community rules on them.
I wish the management would be more sympathetic to senior citizens, such as rent, etc. as senior citizens, we would like to have a lower rent so we can stay here with friends that we have met.

I've already checked other 55+ residences and their rent prices are much lower. I know they will increase their rents once I move in but it will take a while before they catch up to you. I don't mind moving but I don't think I will find another "Nancy, Cindy and Barry trio".

Pool hours for children need to be enforced. Currently using pool from 5pm to 7:30pm. Excessive noise driving residents indoors. 3 tenants have voiced their objections so far.
They had to order a part for the washing machine and it’s fixed now so that’s great. We’re so unfortunate to have Shane and Justin with us. Thanks so much.
