We felt welcome from the very first minute—even before we signed our lease. Both the staff and the residents gave us a warm welcome. We are already looking forward to life in our new community.
I love living at the Overture in Chapel Hill. My neighbors are all lovely people looking for a healthy & happy lifestyle.
My biggest complaint is the inability to meet with Tiffany who will sit in her office with the lights out & discourage you coming into her office & 75% of the time, if I call, it goes to leaving a message.
Love meeting our new neighbors. Love the activities and the pool. Staff is very responsive. Apartment is quiet and comfortable. Exercise classes are great.
We are approaching our three year anniversary at Overture, and our experience just gets better every year with the addition of new activities and the influx of new and interesting neighbors.
Cindy, our events coordinator keeps adding new events such as our recent "Great Gatsby" party for which we were encouraged to dress in our best '20s regalia. The decorations and music were amazingly good, and the residents dressed for the occasion.
Overture has lots of readers and book clubs. We also have a poetry group that meets twice a month.
Best of all is the variety of people living here, coming from virtually every part of the country and several who originally came for other countries. Everyone has wonderful stories, and there is no end of the stories to be heard. You might hear them in one of at least six languages which I have heard spoken here.
In other words, this is the best home for my wife and me to be right now.
Great community! We are meeting so many new friends and are enjoying all the activities. The location is close to everything. The staff members are helpful.

I absolutely love the community here at Overture Chapel Hill. The feel of "family" is very present with many of the residents. A lot of the residents have been living here since the building opened - amazing! The location is great too. We are withing 5 miles of many grocery stores, including Trader Joe's, medical offices, movie theater and hiking trails.
WE renewed our lease a little early again as we continue to be thrilled with our residency at Overture Chapel Hill. The staff is really good, and the facility is well maintained. We like the regular events and especially the special ones like the upcoming Halloween Party. The sense of community is really wonderful here.
Overture Chapel Hill is a very nice community. Residents are very friendly! The staff is very professional and helpful. The maintenance staff is outstanding! There are many activities available - there is something here for everyone - you can be as busy as you want but you are not forced into anything you are not interested in - there are meet & greets, pot lucks, book clubs, movies in the Reel Room, dance class, chair yoga, cards, games … just to name a few! Best choice I ever made!

Lobby area is very appealing & very clean. The decor is up to date & very comfortable areas to sit. I live the theater area where I can watch a movie on the big screen. The coffee area is a nice place to hang out & enjoy a friendly conversation .

Still loving our two-bedroom apartment in Overture Chapel Hill. Staff is great, and the number of special events they produce is impressive. There are so many choices of activities to participate in, and many are led by the residents ourselves. Overture is a community, not just an apartment building. We have made lots of good friends here.

Overture continues to be more than an apartment. It truly is a community. The majority of the residents are kind to and caring about each other. The social gatherings are varied and well-planned. Our management group is very attentive.

Ever since I moved here, I walked in the front entrance and saw that it was tastefully decorated , which was a plus for me , it was welcoming , people walking by looked friendly, and it felt like a warm welcome, then Jerry gave me a tour of the building and what my room would look like, very down to earth and personable . My daughter looked at me and said, What do you think Mom? I said I love it here! This is the place - I want to live here. I knew immediately I could spend the lattter part of my retirement here . I've made a few friends and many aquaintances here, we are one big family -Im never bored, I just go downstairs to the lobby and always have someone to talk to, or play a game with. or attend an event. which is so cool.I don't plan on ever leaving- they have me for good!
I had health issues and moved to this area to be close to my daughter. I sold my house and downsized and moved to Overture Chapel Hill. I think it is one of the best decisions I’ve made. I like my apartment and all the amenities I have in my apartment and in the building! I have very nice neighbors and have made friends in the building! People here are very friendly! The staff in the building are wonderful- they know everyone by name - when you run into them as you return to the building they always have a big hello and welcome home! The maintenance staff are wonderful- always helpful! Moving to Overture was the right decision for me - & I’m happy this is now my home!
Overture Apartments in Chapel Hill has been an ideal new home for me. The building staff and maintenance crew are friendly, efficient and responsive to my needs and concerns. The physical space is well appointed and very comfortable. The social activities are varied and welcoming and fun.and educational. The location is in a cultural and academic hub of the area which makes outside activities easy to access. A good choice for good living.

I've signed my 4th lease at Overture Chapel Hill. My apartment size is perfect for me. I love my kitchen, lots of space for cooking and baking
The events here help keep me active. The trainers for our exercise class are great. They engage each member and help with our form and modify the exercise to fit the needs of everyone.
After 14 & 1/2 months, we still love living here. The location is very convenient for us as even our furthest appointments are less than ten minutes away. The building of community focus works amazingly well here even beyond the regularly scheduled resident events. The opportunity for resident-led events has given us both at least three (for Cary) and four (for Charlie) over and beyond the regular schedule.
The staff is wonderful and very responsive to needs/repairs, suggestions for better ways to do something, new ideas (though the staff is great at creating interesting new events).
Both of us enjoy the regular exercise classes and the instructors hired to lead those classes.
WE enjoy the "new" gathering area along the west wall of the common area, a much more inviting and comfortable setting for groups of ten or fewer to meet.
A great place to live, perfect for our needs at this time.
I am pleased with the current atmosphere, management and most particularly the maintenance staff. Everything is running smoothly and I have no complaints.
Our only negative right now is lots of construction around us. However, that does not hurt the continuing community atmosphere within our building. I will have been here four years next week and consider moving here an excellent decision. Hope to be here for many more.
Move in went easy & smoothly. Management answered all my questions and addressed them in a timely manner. Maintenance workers were very professional and addressed minor jobs quickly.

Overture Chapel Hill is an amazing place to live. Management, mainténance staff and facilités are first rate. I love living here due to the activities and parties. And. The cleanliness is awesome.
I'm in my third year here at Overture Chapel Hill. The calendar has a variety of exercise class with great instructors and the music is a blast. The "Paint and Pour" class have been fun, challenging and engage the artist in me! This month we have an Oktoberfest with a live band on site. I'm looking forward to a night out - that's actually in, at Overture Chapel Hill.
I moved to Overture Chapel Hill after I sold my home to be closer to my family. I was worried about moving from my home to a one bedroom apartment and not knowing anyone in the area. The building staff were very helpful with my move and helping pick the right apartment for my needs. My neighbors are very friendly - everyone you meet has a smile and a hello. There are lots of activities in the building to keep you as busy as you want - and they cover lots of different interests - book clubs, mens club, women’s tea, wine tasting, arts & crafts, games & cards, yoga, balance class, water arobics - then there are the weekly meet and greats, Friday breakfast and pot lucks! They have the reel room where they show movies twice a week and also hold Bingo there too. The staff here are wonderful - greet everyone by name - they are very helpful and friendly. The Maintenance Team is outstanding! My apartment is very quiet. I’m very glad I chose to move to Overture Chapel Hill.
The application process was easy and Stephanie made sure we had everything completed and was very helpful. We like the social activities and the exercise classes.

I'm in my third year here at Overture Chapel Hill and I still love where I live. It's difficult to name only one thing I love here, so I'm not going to try - LOL! The exercise classes are great and they modify the movements to include everyone at any level. The "Paint and Pour" classes are amazing. I didn't know I was such an artist - (insert laughter here). Our Life Style Coordinator is great at giving us all the guidelines and tips we need AND she is very patient with us.
I moved here over 2 years ago - & have no regrets. Overture Chapel Hill is a wonderful community. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and caring. The maintenance staff is outstanding! We love our apartment and the neighbors we have met the past 8 months. Overture does such an outstanding job of encouraging a sense of community with the many weekly get-togethers, programs, and special occasions. The building is gorgeous and very well maintained, and the staff is outstanding both in competence and friendliness. Overture gives new meaning to the old tv line, "Everyone knows your name."
We have many opportunities to make new friends.Documentaries,visiting speakers ,breakfast on Fridays, paint and pour,couple lunches,men group,women groups ,bingo games,card games at night,puzzle tables,plenty of tables to gather,movie nights and hopefully art classes will resume- these are the opportunities that are provided.

The Monday after noon men's round table where we gather to discuss current events and decide where we want to go for lunch on Wednesday. We don't discuss anything that would start an argument and every ones opinion is respected.
Overture Chapel Hill is a great place. The activities are unsurpassed. Each week we have a minimum of 3 activities to partake. They are great fun.
The grounds are kept sparkling, and the management team is always available to us.

Overture Chapel Hill has exceeded our expectations so far. The facility is beautiful, and Ron & Richard have provided fast & efficient help in finishing our apartment. The two Debbys are so cheerful and helpful and knew our names within the first week; how they do that is beyond me.
We like the variety of daily activities; our favorites include yoga, tai chi, strength & balance (especially this one!), and the mix & mingle opportunities to meet more of our new neighbors. Those whom we have met are without exception friendly and very helpful in giving us tips on how to do stuff. We are very happy to be here at Overture on Farrington Road.
We have had a wonderful holiday season here, the highlight being a tree. Numerous residents help make colonial themed ornaments and the results was a tree that smelled very good and was enjoyed by all.

I continue to be well satisfied with my apartment and with the building staff. Yes. I do wish for some things (a) backup power for the elevators (b) a light switch near my bedroom door covering the balance of the apartment (c) fewer disruptions of elevator service caused by moving companies. But, in general, I remain in good spirits.
Overture is the best. Recently I needed a recommendation for a mechanic. Richard, the numerous uno maintenance man, suggested several places.
I was so glad he could help out. The staff is the best.

I have lived at Overture for two years now, and it has been a pleasant experience. The building is well-maintained, and the staff and residents are wonderful.
The positives are many including the community spirit. It is not just an apartment, it is a home. Our maintenance staff is beyond reproach. No request is too small or too large for them. I have such a secure feeling here and never are concerned about being safe.
In fact, my only negative is the high cabinets and the microwave. I am solving the microwave problem by purchasing one for my counter in order to not have a spill accident.
Overall, I could not be happier with my decision to move here nearly three years ago.
I've lived here for 1.5 years and I love it. We have a beautiful community, in the true sense of the word. We planted a small garden this spring. I have enjoyed fresh lettuce, carrots, peppers and herbs. The maintenance staff is awesome. They are professional and knowledgeable.
To begin with I do not own a pet.I have heard so many people say the stairwell is nasty and it needs to be cleaned. I live on first floor and I love it. The stairwell doesn’t bother me but I have heard so many complain. The rent should be regulated. People live in the same size apartment but but we pay different amounts. That should not be acceptable.
I am a new resident so far it has been a great experience. The management staff has been very professional and extremely helpful they go out of their way to help you.
Everyone we have met so far,have been extremely nice. We have had a good experience so far. We are excited about getting involved in some of the activities. Also to meet and mingle with people.

Great apartment complex. The property is so well cared for by the staff. And management is right in top of everything. Love my home. Highly recommend Overture Chapel Hill.
I had a great moving experience we found a place to park that was near my Bldg. my wife and I just love the place, we have had a great experience with some of the Resident's that's here the Office Personnel has been very helpful on the whole we just love the place.
We love the staff responsiveness and the amenities. People are mostly friendly and the building looks well kept.
We haven't been to many activities because I work, but the couple of events we've been to, were a lot of fun

This is a fine apartment house and I love my apartment. The staff is kind and considerate and when I need a repair, it is done in a timely, neat and orderly manner. My most fervent wish is for at least one elevator to be connected to a generator in the case of power outages. My second wish is for a little less grandmotherliness -- the entirely too frequent cancellation of events, the supercilious advice about freeze warnings, etc. An unsuspecting resident might even consider the former as laziness. I do not. I chalk it up to over-protectional berhavior.
So far, we are having a great experience. People are friendly and we love the amenities. The only thing is that our water had a terrible smell and we had to run it for several days for long periods of time to finally get a decent flow or non sulfur smelling water. Other than that, we love the area, the building security. We are still unpacking, but looking forward to get more involved in activities soon.
Moving into Overture Chapel Hill has exceeded my expectations. The friendly professional staff goe the extra mile to make our experience fun and social.

Good building, clean, well staffed, appropriate amenities, good location. Awaiting lease renewal to see if the price will be fair. I am particularly fond of the maintenance staff. I am not fond of the staff-led events.
The physical aspects of the apts are very nice. The people who live here make wonderful friends to socialize with and we all look out for each other. The maintenance crew, especially Richard, is great. Except for Stephanie, the rest of the office staff does not always follow through. It would be nice to create more greeen space.
I feel like a grizzled veteran as so many of my fellow residents are newer than I. However, I still like living here. It seems as if more and more of the amenities fall on the shoulders of the residents, but that is not all bad. The messaging is intrusive, but necessary. I don't know what calculus is used to create a resident of the month, but I don't expect the crown to fall on me. The rent increases in the last two years have been reasonable and I am happy about that. The men are not treated as well as the women -- the had two events in July, a coffee and a wine -- we had one. But 4 stars seems right.
Meeting and greeting new residents at the community. Planned events is always a great experience for us. They are always happy and glad to know about the ends and outs especially the pros and cons.
Very clean, nice place to live. They have great events for the older residents to keep them active. The people are really nice and it’s in a convenient location.

I enjoy the sense of community and the activities. It would be helpful to either have another trash bin or have it emptied more often. Trash has piled up on the ground outside.
Excellent living experience. Lacks good security and noise control. Movers are propping open the back doors. Nonresidents are coming in without a key fob.
Maintenance work is done quickly and efficiently. Property staff is friendly and helpful.
When I moved in, there was some damage done to the apartment already with stains on the countertops and water damage in the bathroom and because I didn’t turn in the sheet right away with all the moving and things going on, I could not report that
Clean environment, excellent amenities and friendly residents. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable informative. The staff brings their pleasant attitudes to work with them daily.
Clean comfortable public area, great grilling set up, and good choice of fitness classes. We love our apartment floor plan. Maintenance staff is the best!

I have one concern that is ongoing.
the temperature in the Reel to Reel room and the lobby/kitchen area is extremely Cold. I need to wear a warm sweater or jacket in those areas.
A Great place to live! A wonderful, friendly staff that’s always ready to assist the residents. There are plenty of activities to participate in if one desires.
The only reason that I didn’t give a five star rating is that the rent has increased every year since I have been here.
Mostly, I love living here, BUT, recently our building was hit by electricity during a rain storm and not only hit individual belongings but also knocked out the building's door security system. it is now at least three week and the security has not been fixed. not sure whether this is connected BUT, Whitesky (cable and internet) is also not working properly.
I know management has hired a person to "man" the front desk during the night, however it is not possible for him to watch all doors at all times.
We have new management and feel our needs will be met better with this new team The residents here make a wonderful community in which to live.
We are situated in a very convenient place for shopping and medical care.
The physical layout is all right but we have no green space to sit outside with a little nature. The gym class space is way too small. The movies are always shown at dinner time - do not understand why they cannot be late afternoon like 3-4-pm. The games are also scheduled at dinner time - should start at 4 or 7pm Way too much food is wasted at the social gatherings Residents are friendly and location of facility is convenient to all shopping.
The building manager's response to problems is blithe, uncaring and borderline rude. The latest staff changes, while good for those moved, is bad for the tenants. The repairs to my apartment have been delayed and I am growing cynical about their eventual improvement.
Even though we are leaving for personal reasons, we still would not renew our lease because of how unfairly we have been treated as tenants. Our rent has consistently increased while our same unit is currently listed to new tenants at a much lower rate. We understand this may not be illegal, but it is certainly not fair, especially given the current rental market where prices are lower. Despite always paying on time, being respectful, and never causing issues, we feel unappreciated and taken advantage of. We also raised concerns in the past without meaningful improvement in our unit or the building. After being loyal, patient tenants, it is disappointing to feel that our commitment has not been valued.
